Emilie Moskal - Education Director (French - Ashburn)
Emilie is a founding member of the JabberCru. She has a wonderful background in performing arts and music which helps to ensure that her classes are always lively and fun. A native of France, Emilie has been in the United States for the past ten years. When she came to the states she began teaching French to young children at a number of pre-schools in the metro DC area as well as with Fairfax County Public Schools. She also served as a French Instructor for Berlitz. In Paris, Emilie was involved in a number of theatrical productions and right out of college she performed in an all-girl band called Le histoire des filles which was signed to the EMI label for the release of a recording and a subsequent promotional tour in France. She is raising her own children multilingually. Aijie Huang (Chinese - Bethesda & Gaithersburg)  Aijie has been teaching at Jabberü since the winter of 2009. She is from Fujian in southeast China. She majored in preschool education at Fujian Huanan Women's College and received her teaching certification in China. Her classes at Jabberü are very active and her love of dance is clear. She looks forward to teaching traditional Chinese dance in some of her classes. Aijie also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
Fabiola Bustios (Spanish - Ashburn) Fabiola comes from the beautiful country of the Incas, Peru! She lived in Peru until she was 18 years old, when she moved to the Washington, DC area. Both of her parents are Spanish teachers, currently teaching at Washington elementary schools. She graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Psychology, and now she is pursuing her Master's Degree in school counseling. Fabiola loves going to concerts and incorporates music into her classes. Fabiola hosts a Spanish story time at our Ashburn center on the first Tuesday of each month from 11:45am - 12:15pm.
Julie Dugast (French - Bethesda) Julie is from Le Temple, a small town in western France. She has a Masters Degree in Education and teaching French as a foreign language. She loves sharing her culture with the children in her classes, especially French food, which she enjoys cooking. She studied in North Carolina and Kassel, Gemany - and in addition to French and English, she's fluent in German. Julie hosts a French story time at our Bethesda center on the first Tuesday of each month from 11:45am - 12:15pm.
Maya Monroe (French - Bethesda) Maya is from the Republic of Georgia. She majored in French Language and Literature at the Tbilisi State University with an emphasis on teaching. Maya also spent a year studying French in France and she taught French at Alliance Francaise de Tbilisi. She worked as a teaching assistant for the drama school "Berikebi". When Maya moved to the U.S. 10 years ago she taught French to elementary age students. Her own 6 year old twins are bilingual in English and Georgian. Her love for drama is clear in her classes - she loves role play activities with the children.
Judith Hurbon (French and Spanish - Bethesda) Judith was fortunate to grow up trilingual - she was born in the U.S. to a mother from Martinique and a father from the Dominican Republic. In addition to learning French and Spanish as a young child, Judith also honed her knowledge with a double major in Spanish and French. She is now working on her Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology - which greatly benefits her students, their parents and all of her colleagues. Judith loves to dance - especially the Samba and Salsa. Judith also speaks Carribean Creole and Brazilian Portuguese.
Myriam Krzypow Rodriguez (Spanish - Gaithersburg) Myriam is a native of Venezuela and has lived in the Washington, DC area for 9 years. She has two daughters who are bilingual and one is also learning Mandarin in the Montgomery County Public Schools' Chinese Immersion Program. Myriam has her B.A. in Art History from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and has written several articles about Latin American cinema. She brings lots of creativity and energy to her classes, through art and humor. Myriam has worked as a private Spanish tutor and taught at the Charles W. Gilchrist Center for Cultural Diversity in Wheaton, MD. In addition to her love of cinema, Myriam enjoys Latin American music and coffee from her family's farm in Venezuela. Myriam hosts a free Spanish Storytime on the first Tuesday of each month at the Gaithersburg center from 11:45am - 12:15pm.
Paola Ibarra (Spanish- Columbia)Paola is from La Paz, Bolivia. Paola teaches Pre-K in Baltimore City while also working on her teacher certification and M.A. in teaching. She has also had years of experience teaching ESL to adults. She loves to incorporate art into her class activities. "Teaching has been my passion for many years and I love how faces light up when students learn something new." Fabricio Chavez (Spanish - Bethesda) Fabricio is a native of the Ecuadorian Amazon, where he lived for 17 years. He has also lived in Chile and the Galapagos Islands. He loves outdoor sports, such as kayaking, which he has taught at camps. He also used to lead tours through the Ecuadorian Amazon, the Andes and the Galapagos Islands. His love of sport is clear in his classes, where he enjoys incorporating games into his classes.
Anna Chou (Chinese - Ashburn) Anna is from Taiwan, and she lived and studied in mainland China for 6 years. She has 3 sons, ages 7, 3 and 1 and they are all being raised bilingually. Anna's hobbies include collecting stamps and coins, swimming, bowling and rollerskating, which she began teaching to children when she was in high school. Her favorite part of each class is the surprise on the children's faces when she reveals what is inside the magic bag. And whenever she has the chance, she loves to share Chinese snacks with her classes.
Soledad Moras (Spanish - Bethesda) Soledad is from Uruguay where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education and taught forst through sixth grade in Montevideo, including children with learning and emotional disabilities. She incorporates her love of theater into her classes with just the right amount of silly, which the kids enjoy. Soledad is certifies in Early Childhood Education and by The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. Soledad hosts a free Spanish story time on the first Wednesday of each month at our Bethesda center from 10:45-11:15am.
Isandai Alverez (Spanish - Bethesda) Isa was born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. She has also lived in San Francisco, where she went to high school and in Florence, Italy. In addition to Spanish and English, Isa is fluent in Italian and German and proficient in Russian. She is a classical ballet dancer, which she has taught to children and she plays the paino. She loves traveling and learning about other cultures.

Becky Segovia (Spanish - Gaithersburg) Becky is originally from Lima, Peru. Her mother is Peruvian and her father is from Spain. Becky received her bachelor's degree in special education and speech pathology. She has worked as a teacher in Florida and Maryland. In her free time Becky enjoys exercises, reading, cooking and travel.
