Family Magazine Readers' Choice 2008:  "Best Foreign Language Instruction for Children"

Too often as a kid, the things that you're told are good for you (your veggies, cleaning your room, being nice to your little brother) aren't much fun - but now that's all changed. At Jabberü, becoming bilingual is good for you and fun.

At Jabberü we teach languages to children ages 1-10 using proven methods. Our classes are immersion, meaning your child is surrounded by the language from the minute he or she enters the room; experts agree this is the best way for kids to learn a foreign language. The children are taught by native speakers in a dynamic environment, just as they learned their first language. This interaction is a critical part of the learning process and can't be experienced through CDs and DVDs, alone

Each class focuses on a primary concept, such as colors, family members or emotions. This concept is explored through fun and interactive activities that naturally incorporate the language being learned - there are games, art projects, role play and music, all encouraging the children to communicate. Each lesson is also packaged in a fun theme that excites the imagination and creativity of the children. Today we may sail on a pirate ship across the high seas, while next week we'll explore an outer space full of funny aliens and beautiful stars.

Our classes are small, allowing the instructor to individually tailor the experience so that children at all levels are challenged to progress in the language. For example, a lesson may feature colors - during this lesson the beginner is learning the words for basic colors, while a more advanced child is learning to express color preferences and how to compare colors.

The Jabberü curriculum is based on the standards of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, ensuring a focus on meaningful communication and integration of the target culture, its celebrations, art and everyday life.
